Connie Mack World Series

Since 1965, Farmington has hosted the Connie Mack World Series, bringing together the finest amateur baseball players in the United States. This year, 12 elite teams of players ages 16 to 18 will compete for the championship at the renowned Ricketts Park through Aug. 3. Families, friends, and fans gather to enjoy the camaraderie, the food, the souvenirs and the festive environment of America’s favorite pastime.

Totah Festival

Since 1988, the Totah Festival has been a staple of Farmington’s cultural scene every Labor Day weekend, showcasing the craftsmanship and friendship of regional artists. The juried art marketplace is a highlight, with Native American artisans displaying their works, from jewelry and pottery to paintings and textiles. Attendees can look forward to the return of its iconic powwow.

The authentic Navajo Rug Auction is a must-see event. These rugs are renowned for their quality, making them prized possessions for collectors and art enthusiasts.

In addition to the arts and cultural activities, the Totah Festival offers fantastic food, from traditional Native American dishes to modern favorites. It’s a weekend of celebration, culture, and community, offering a rich and rewarding experience for all who attend.

Fall Crawl: Sept. 4-6

Fall Crawl is a three-day adventure through Farmington's rugged terrain. Hosted by the Cliffhangers Four Wheel Drive Club, this event offers guided trail runs catering to various skill levels in Chokecherry Canyon and Largo Canyon.

Off-Road Downtown Takeover: Sept. 6

Experience Farmington's off-roading culture at the Off-Road Downtown Takeover, happening from 5:00 to 10 p.m. on the Farmington Civic Center Plaza. Highlights include a 4x4 car show and a welcome party for the 2024 W.E. Rock Grand Nationals competitors. Spectators can join for free, while 4x4 owners can showcase their rigs for a chance to win cash prizes, gear, and trophies.

W.E. Rock Grand Nationals: Sept. 7-8

Don't miss the adrenaline-fueled action of the W.E. Rock Grand Nationals Championship at Brown Springs in the Glade Run Recreation Area. Watch elite rock crawling athletes from around the world compete for national honors.

Four Corners Balloon Rally

Prepare to be amazed as hot air balloons take flight over Farmington during the Four Corners Balloon Rally Sept. 27-29. This event promises a magical experience for all ages. The morning mass ascensions are a sight to behold, as dozens of balloons launch over lake Farmington, creating a kaleidoscope of colors against the blue sky.

Evenings are just as enchanting, with balloon glows scheduled at set locations. During these events, the balloons are tethered to the ground and illuminated from within, creating a glowing spectacle that lights up the night.

Southwest Apple & Chile Fest

Visit Historic Downtown Farmington for the Southwest Apple & Chile Fest on Oct. 4-5. This special event celebrates Farmington’s thriving art scene and unique history with apples and chile, offering a family-friendly festival that pays homage to the area’s agricultural heritage.

The festivities kick off with the Maker's Market and Art Walk on Oct. 4, where local artists and makers showcase their creations. The fun continues on Oct. 5 with Chile in October Fest. There will be cooking demonstrations, chile tastings, and plenty of delicious food to enjoy. This event also features live music, entertainment, and activities for the whole family.

Road Apple Rally

Mark your calendars for Oct. 5, as mountain bikers gather for the 43rd annual Road Apple Rally at Lions Wilderness Park. This race, which began in 1981, is the oldest annual mountain bike race in the U.S. and attracts riders from all over the country.

There are several divisions ensuring that riders of all skill levels can compete and enjoy the race. The camaraderie among the riders, the support from the crowd, and the fast and fun course all combine to make this a must-attend event for mountain biking enthusiasts.
