The third victim, 56-year-old Cheryl Baker, also of Ogden, was identified on June 30 through dental records.

"Notifications have been made and that's very, very important for those families of course," said Canyon County Sheriff Kieran Donahue. "They have their own process they have to go through now. For us it's a continuation working with the prosecuting attorney's office."

The Canyon County Sheriff's Office said new evidence in the case prompted them to file for a felony homicide warrant against Baker's husband, Gerald Michael Bullinger, who had been considered a person of interest in the case.

"We gathered information and physical evidence and forensic evidence from that vehicle which is critical to the case," said Donahue. "We can't discuss that, but we're happy to get that car."

Bullinger, 60, faces three counts of first-degree murder in addition to a previous charge of failure to report a death. Sheriff Donahue and Chris Topmiller, chief criminal deputy with the Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, said during a news conference Tuesday afternoon that those charges would be filed before the end of the day on Tuesday.

Bullinger's car was found last month at a remote campground in Wyoming. Donahue said evidence was found in the car, and that the evidence was brought back to Canyon County.

Bullinger has not been located. There have been numerous alleged sightings, but no credible ones, Donahue said.

Nadja Medley and Bullinger had been dating for more than two years, friends told KTVB back in June, and Medley and her daughter had moved in with Bullinger at the KCID Road home not long before the bodies were discovered.

All three bodies were found shot to death and hidden in a shed on the property. Bullinger, who is the subject of a nationwide manhunt, is considered armed and dangerous.

A major part of the challenge in locating Bullinger, Donahue explained, is the head start he had on authorities. The bodies had enough time for decomposition to set in before they were found, and Donahue noted that Bullinger's car wasn't found for about three weeks after that.

Because of the degree of decomposition, it took significantly longer to identify Nadja Medley and her daughter. DeGeus-Morris said bone marrow from the victims and DNA from personal items helped to identify them.

At Tuesday's news conference, Donahue said whether all of the victims knew each other is speculative at this point, and that "a very wide net" is being cast in the investigation.

The sheriff said authorities are no closer to finding the motive behind the killings.

Donahue implored anyone who knows where Bullinger is to come forward and notify their local law enforcement agency. He's the subject of a nationwide manhunt, and he's considered armed and dangerous.

The Medley family issued the following statement, via the sheriff's office, on Wednesday:

"Nadja & Payton Medley were tragically taken from us this summer and everyone impacted by this, both family and friends, are staying close to one another, encouraging one another and supporting the local and federal authorities. Collectively, we are praying that the truth will be revealed and we will be able to begin the road to healing. Though we have wanted to publicly address this situation for some time, we chose to respect the direction of the investigators in this case by avoiding making any public statements. We have been working closely with the authorities throughout this time, and will continue to do so, but we ask that you honor our request for privacy during this difficult time as we mourn and grieve. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support."
