Mr. Alphonse L. Poole, our beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace surrounded by his family at the age of 50 years old. Alphonse Poole was born on March 11, 1971 in Saginaw to James Anthony Nickleberry and Valerie Poole Winters. He was the younger of the 2 children they shared together. He was known as “Boo” to all his close friends and family. He attended Saginaw Public Schools. Growing up, he was a lover of playing football, writing rhymes, drawing, and cutting hair. His current favorite pastime was cooking. He loved cooking his famous chicken tacos for his family and friends. He was easy going, a natural comedian, and a very family-oriented man who always put his children first. He loved his children. His children were his pride and joy. He was very excited about meeting his first grandson “Alphonse” that is on the way. Frances Ledesma of Saginaw, Michigan was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly, surrounded by her devoted family on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the age of 73. Frances was born to the late Alex and Stella Hernandez on July 20, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Frances was a very hardworking U.A.W. member and retired from Saginaw Steering Gear after 30 years of dedicated service. Our mother devoted her life to her children and family, and worked double shifts to provide a fortunate lifestyle. Frances was always classy, sassy, and independent. She enjoyed going to Mexican dances with all her compadres, bowling, taking trips to the casino and vacations with her family, it all brought joy to her heart. Frances was preceded in death by her only true love, her former husband and father of her beautiful children, Henry Ledesma Jr. Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rachel (Stacy), Tina, Angela (Ray), and Erica Ledesma. They all had a strong and unbreakable bond. At the time of her passing, she had just turned 80 years old. Gloria Martinez was born January 20, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Jose and Pascuala "Paula" (Ignohosa) Martinez. Gloria loved Jesus first and her family second. She was very involved with her church for many years. Gloria loved spending time with her family near and far. She will be missed more than words can say. Gloria left us a great legacy and a reminder that no matter what happens in life, put Jesus first and everything else will fall into place. Matthew Stephen Ayers was born on April 8, 1969 in Saginaw to Jeanne (Burba) and Stephen S. Ayers. He graduated from Carrollton High School, and then attended Western Michigan University receiving his Associates Degree in Aviation Engineering. Matt worked for Covenant HealthCare for over 20 years in the Information Technology Department. He loved to camp, fish, golf, garden, he was an avid reader and loved caring for his pets. Matt loved to spend hours planning and cooking special events for his family and friends. He was a standing tall, proud Republican and enjoyed sporting events, especially the Red Wings.
